Preschool Graduation

So this week was the last of our little Mom and Me preschool group. It's been a great year, thanks to all who participated! I love getting to know all the Moms and kids. They are a lot of fun. Its also fun to get back into teacher mode every once in a while. Today we met at the park and the kids made little graduation hats and played. It was beautiful weather.

Chicken Coop

It was all Wayne's idea. I didn't really care for the chickens we had growing up. But my good friend Debra's chickens softened my heart a little, and the little baby chicks were so adorable, so I gave in. It will be an adventure, and our kids have enjoyed it. Anna was so excited when we got our chicks last friday she almost forgot about her upcoming birthday party, almost. Wayne did a wonderful job building this little coop/garden shed. He had a great idea of using some clear plastic panels for light and possibly a greenhouse. He's going to add on a wire enclosed outside for the chickens to come out of a little door. He also needs to finish a wall inside to seperate the garden shed part.

The kids "check on the chicks" everyday. David gets a little too excited and tries to get in with them. Wayne had to finish up a little on Friday and we had them inside for a couple of hours. They started out in this tub on the floor but were quickly moved up on to the kitchen table after David dumped the feed all over the floor. He is so busy!

They are already getting bigger and 'sprouting' feathered wings... not cute for too long I guess.

The girls like to 'pet' them, but are way to scared to actually hold them. That's probablly a good thing, but I do like the way Debra's are so calm and tame. They are full grown, but the kids pick them right up and pack them around. That was impressive to me.

This is the Life

Megan is such a fun kid! This afternoon we had a little one on one time. Anna left to Kindergarten and David had a nap. Normally Megan plays by herself and I do some kind of project, but today she asked if I'd play with her. How can I say no? We spent some time outside swinging, looking at our baby chicks and eating a picnic. It was wonderful weather. We hung out in the hammock together, I was really enjoying just relaxing with her. As we were swaying back and forth she says, "This is the life." I laughed out loud, where did that come from? I asked her where she heard that and she smartly replys "Daphne". Of course! They have been watching Scooby Doo Aloha. I asked her if being in the hammock was like being in Hawaii, of course she said "Yes". What a life! I sure enjoyed spending some time with her, it put me in such a good mood, I decided I better share what's been going on around here on the blog. So prepare for lots of posts today. It took me about 10 different tries 4 phone calls and a considerable amount of time but I finally figured out how to get the pictures off my new phone. Technollogy, great but sometimes a little time consuming, and always more to learn.

Swinging fun

Everyone loves to swing.
David loves to swing, he cries whenever we take him out to stop. Megan and Anna also like to 'push' him. So much fun!

Anna of course likes to be pushed again and again and again. She was tipping all the way upside down for these ones. We are working on pumping her legs.

Megan cracks me up! I love it, when I take the time to really listen to her she says the funniest things. She was swinging and she tells me, "I'm swinging so high I can see Idaho!" Isn't it fun to be four years old? She loves imagining and pretending wether it's finding dinosars in the clouds, playing store/camping/hotel with Anna or teaching new tricks to David shes always having fun!

Dad took this fun picture of David with his new Blackberry and emailed it to me, so High Tech Dad!

Redneck Yacht club

We have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather here. Its put a little damper on Wayne's fishing (no more ice). A couple of weeks ago he took us for a little fourwheeler/boat ride to the pond behind Mom and Dad's house. It was really fun, Anna was a little worried that we would sink, Megan was worried about tipping over, and David just wanted to get right in! It was fun riding around and chasing some ducks/geese. We are pretty redneck huh?

I love having girls

Isn't it fun to be a girl? I sure love having my sweet little girls to do all the fun girl stuff together! We have so much fun painting fingernails, having pajama parties, fixing hair, creating cute accessories and outfits, shopping, eating chocolate... watch out when we are all grown up. Wayne says he knows its going to be really expensive when they hit teenagerhood. Anna was so cute this morning. As we were eating breakfast she says, "Mom I know who gets to be the first kid in our family to be a teenager, Me!" I thought, Oh no she already wants to be a teenager to do grown up things, she's only 6! But then she sweetly says, "So I can be a babysitter when I'm a teenager". Whew! I'm glad that's what she's excited about that will be really nice. I don't want them to grow up any faster, it's fun to dress them up while they'll still let me. The Easter bunny brought them these cute Hats, so we had to make matching flowers to go with our yard sale treasure dresses.

Anna's Bday

Anna has been so excited for her birthday. She has had her party planned for about a month, and all week she said we needed to start "setting up" for it. On Tuesday she got a cool birthday crown at Kindergarten and shared treats with all of her friends at school. She was pretty excited about her Hannah Montanah birthday balloons, and had Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Adam come over to eat Orange Rolls and open presents. Then on Friday she had a couple of her cousins over for her Fancy Nancy Party. It was a lot of fun. On Saturday she said, "Mom that was so much fun for my Birthday, Thank you." What a sweet heart. She is such a good girl, we love her so much.

Fancy Nancy Party

We started out our party with a "fancy dinner": Fancy sandwiches, deviled eggs, pink punch, fruit dipped in chocolate and caramel, all of Anna's favorites. She was thrilled to come home from school to crepe paper streamers hung from the ceiling and had fun setting the table with fancy plates and napkins.

Isn't this cake amazing?! I love it, my good friend Terra Rich made it for me. Check out her work at: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/pages/Roosevelt-UT/Custom-Cake-Creations/140152983069?ref=ts
The girls were pretty impressed by it. Is that really cake on the doll? And Can we really eat those flowers? Too cute to eat huh?

Anna's cousins Dakota and Courtney brought her some fun gifts. They had such a good time playing together.

We had a full night!: Treasure Hunt, makeup and fingernails, dressing up Fancy and having a fashion show, watching Princess movies and eating popcorn.

David

David is getting so big! He is also getting into trouble more. He has been found sitting in this cupbaoard under my sink, yes with the garbage can, and soaps. We have to really listen for sounds like: the cupboard door opening, the toliet lid, etc.

One of his favorite places to hang out is by a window, watching the cows, horses and dog. He really loves animals and being outside.

David wants to be just like his sisters, he has started 'coloring' and he loves sitting on a lap with a book. He'll see a book and bring it to you and start climbing or sitting down on your lap. So fun!

What a fun boy! He gives great kisses and hugs.

Anna

Anna loves creating and building. The other day when I was sewing she begged to sew her own creation. I guess she's starting out young. She is learning and changing so much all the time. I can't believe how much she is reading already in Kindergarten, its wonderful! She is also starting to grow up a little. We are working on doing more chores, earning money, being fair and comprimising. She loves playing with David, and is a good helper.

Megan still loves playing dress up.

What a CUTE boy! David loves playing with cars, and trucks. He gets really excited when his sisters play with him and drive the cars back and forth in the kitchen. He also loves balls, cookies, and being outside.

So the latest 'game' is setting up stuffed animals for pictures. They are pretty creative in making a 'backdrop'.
