September Stuff

September flew by and we are fully in school schedule mode (except for a few late nights that we couldn't help with the lovely weather we've been having).
Anna lost another tooth, during primary! The week before a little boy in my primary class lost his tooth and I was teasing Anna saying that she'd loose hers at church too... well I guess biting into a big cookie does it! They both did great for the Primary program. I am enjoying being back in the 'Sunday' primary buisness. Anna is doing awesome in 2nd grade and has already passed off her first 100 sight words in under a minute and her +1 and +2 timings. We are getting used to this new homework.

I had my turn teaching preschool, we did letter C. So we made playdough cookies, real cookies, and played who stole the cookies from the cookie jar. We also did the Very Hungry Caterpillar and painted little caterpillars.

Megan and David are also getting used to Kindergarten and Preschool. Megan has some fun friends that we carpool with and she 'loooooves' her teacher. She is learning to read lots of words and books. Yeah! David is having fun with his friends in preschool though his favorite time is just when we have playdates. He is also really getting good on his potty training... 3 days without any accidents yeah!!
They love hanging out and being lazy in the morning... and I don't mind either. ;) I'm just cherishing these days.

One of the favorite games is for David to be the Daddy and Megan to be the baby. Or Megan is the Mommy and David is her baby 'Timmy'... they love riding around in the toy baby stroller or crawling or crying 'wa wa wa'.

A fun little craft totally out of the blue. We made some little 'outfits' for their stuffed kittys using old socks. just cut some holes for arms and legs... fun for hours!

My Blessings

I am so thankful that I get to be momma to these 3 wonderful kids!
We are getting in the swing of our school schedules, David is doing preschool this year. We are currently working on the potty training, it'll be good to get that done.

The girls had pictures today. They look pretty cute huh? (they don't like these shirts but they put up with them for mamma)

Love these three! ;)

Labor Day in Idaho

We visited Wayne's brother in Twin Falls this weekend. It was so nice and we had lots of fun playing, visiting and seeing the sights, we truly didn't want to leave.
We drove north towards Sun Valley and stopped to see an Ice Cave. It was chilly and dark inside. There was about 20-30 feet of ice in the deepest part.

We also drove further north and east to see the Craters of the Moon. Its a pretty cool place, with lots of lava rock and flows. We had lunch and played around in the dirt and rocks.

Then we did a little 'hiking' around to see some caves and old volcanos.

We also drove to this little waterfall in Twin Falls where you can walk right under it. Pretty cool!

Back to School Fun

We were all ready for school to start today. Anna layed out her outfit to wear the night before, and before I even went to wake her up she got dressed and hurried out for breakfast. She was excited! (and a little nervous).
We drove her in for the first day. David was excited too, he wanted his own backpack. Megan also met with her Kindergarten teacher this morning. She was kind of silly and talkative. I realized that was her way of dealing with being nervous. Anna is quiet and timid when she is nervous.
We found Anna's desk on the front row! She is going to have a great year with a really nice teacher who lives in our ward, and some good friends in her class.
In the afternoon Megan and I made some special sugar cookies for Anna when she got home. Lots of fun!

A Great Summer!

Well its back to school time for us, school starts this Thursday! We are excited and ready, but we have had a GREAT summer! I've been terrible about taking pictures but we have had lots of fun, so I thought I better write it down so we'd remember anyway.
We had two weeks of swimming lessons: Anna and Megan had fun with their cousins and learned a lot! They have also been swimming in our pool almost every day. We've invited cousins and friends over to enjoy it with us, its always more fun with friends! They learned how to make a 'wave pool' and a 'swirl pool'. And there is always lots of jumping off the ladder.
They are both much more comfortable in the water and learning to glide and swim around under the water comfortablly.
We have also had fun camping in our trailer. David loves going to the 'tall mountains!'. And the girls have so much fun playing with family and friends exploring in the woods. We even had a little BBQ with some friends this week and really enjoyed it. So its sad to see summer coming to an end, but we are looking forward to lots of fun this school year with Anna in 2nd grade, Megan in Kindergarten and David in preschool. I'm going to be driving lots!
