4th of July

We had a fun 4th of July celebration with our Mecham Family reunion. It was a dry year so the fireworks were banned. We still had a little fun with some snaps and sparklers, and our traditional parade. Anna and Megan have been working hard this summer to earn and save money for new bikes. They both learned to ride without training wheels this spring and their bikes were too little. They did jobs, gathered pop cans, and we had a yard sale and lemonade stand. We were so excited to go buy new bikes last week. Wayne and I even got bikes and we have all been enjoying them a lot!

Tuacahn Tradition

What a fun tradition to have a girls trip to St. George to see the plays at Tuacahn. This year lots of cousins, aunts and grandmas were there to enjoy it with us! :) Thanks Jan and Mom for starting it all out so many years ago! The first night was Aladdin, the specail effects and stunts were spectacular. If you only see one play this year I would definetly recommend this one! The girls got all dressed up in Aladdin t shirts and tutus, and had princess jasmine hairdos! Hairspray was also lots of fun! We watched the DVD before coming and that helped us all get excited and be familiar with the story. The girls were so cute in their darling dressed that Aunt Angel made and poofy ratted up hair thanks to Gma's skills from her teen years! :)

Camping at Moon Lake

We have had a fun tradition of going camping with our friends the Snows at Moon Lake for the past 3 summers. This year was a little more laid back with our 2 babies, but we had such a great time! The kids get along so well and love exploring, creating and playing together. Of course we have some yummy camp food and love visiting with our friends too. Thanks for another great year Ryan and Debra!

Camping

We had a fun weekend camping with our family at Wayne's parents property in Fruitland. They are building a cabin, so Wayne helped while we played. The kids had a wonderful time despite the snow, hail, mud, wind, and getting sick.. :( It wouldn't be camping without an adventure! We survived and had a nice time enjoying the outdoors and time away from home to relax. Ellie di pretty good and even started to really smile!
What  a cutie! :)

Anna is blessed to have a fun cousin close to her age to pal around with. They made huts, went on hikes, rides on Gma's Razor, and even slept together in Gma's camper. We read about cooking cinnamon rolls over the fire inside an orange, and had to give it a try!

Megan is also lucky to have a cousin to play with! They had lots of fun playing in the camp trailers during the bad weather and outside when it was nice :)

Even David has a pal close to his age! They loved playing and sometimes fighting typical of little boys. He got really dirty and really tired, but had so much fun!

Daddy Daughter date

Anna has been having so much fun in Activity Days. She is lucky that Grandma gets to be one of her leaders. They have been doing a 'princess' theme for the last little while, and they had a Daddy Daughter Royal celebration! Aren't they cute?
They made castles by spraypainting recycled materials.
They did lots of fun games: learning to dance, dressing up dads, going to the 'ball' (shooting basketballs while holding dad's hand), had a quiz about each other, ate fancy snacks and served them to their dads.
What a fun night, and a good sport daddy! :)

spring dance recital

The girls were "red birds" in their spring dance recital. They did a wonderful job, and had lots of family come to see them. This year they were in the same dance class it worked out so well. Miss Heather is so good to us! :) She asked me to make the hair flowers with feathers... I'm always up for crafting!
It is fun to dance with their cousins!
Miss Heather had her students do artwork from all seasons to decorate :)
A year in color was the theme, these backdrop trees changed throughout the whole preformance.
I had fun making chocolate kiss rose bouquets to give the girls on their special night!

A special Day

We had a very special day on Saturday May 5. Anna was baptized and confirmed and Ellie was blessed. We had so many of our family members there. It was wonderful.
Anna's cousin Baylee was baptized too. What a fun day for these two sweet girls!
