Our Christmas

We had a nice quiet little Christmas this year. We celebrated Christmas Eve with Wayne's family and had a nice dinner and time with all the family. Christmas morning was typical of any morning at our house. The girls both slept till about 8 o'clock. Nice huh? But they were pretty excited to find gifts from Santa when they finally woke up. Then we had some breakfast and opened gifts.
Anna and Megan each got a fun doll with clothes to wear and match. Anna put her dress on right away, Megan had fun fixing hair.

Santa brought Megan a Barbie Camper, David also thinks its pretty cool!

Anna went to wash her hands in the bathroom a few days before Christmas and came out giggling and looking like Santa. Silly girl!

David got a farm little ride on from Santa.

"How did Santa know to get me a pink Ipod?! And he even got me a Secret Password Journal too, I must have been really good!!!" "Mom it has Hannah Montana music on it!" Anna has been very happy with her mp3 player.

Merry Christmas Gma and Gpa

We surprised Gma and Gpa with a picture of the Salt Lake temple. They really seemed to like it. Thanks everyone who helped get it for them. We gave it to them early because they went on a cruise over Christmas. They also spoiled us with nice gifts. I've already used my PINK tool set a few times. It fits perfectly in a little cabinent drawer.
Its going to be a fun Christmas, David is getting the hang of tearing open paper packages and Anna and Megan are really excited for Santa. They are pretending and playing elfs, reindeer and presents. Anna was so sweet she made me a little plate with cookies, hot cocoa and a note and every picture is a present, "Merry Christmas Mommy". She also keeps telling us that Jesus is more important than Santa, what a smart little girl!

Who's afraid of Santa Claus?

Apparently my children. You'd think that after 5 years you'd just love Santa, but Anna wouldn't get any closer. We went to the enchanted forest a couple of weeks ago, and had a nice day out with Grandma. The Dr. Suess tree was pretty cool!

Everyday stuff

The girls are are always busy and David wants to be right in the middle of it: hair salon, art, making forts, and messes! One day they were coloring and decided to make a "fence" to keep David away from their table, cute funny kids!

We had a wonderful warm Thanksgiving day at Grandma's house. David won our turkey at the groccery store for his bday being the closest to Nov. 17, good boy! The nice weather was great for playing with cousins, fishing, eating yummy food, and of course the computers were on...

Happy Bday David

Our little guy is now 1. His bday was Nov. 20, I'm slow getting this posted. Isn't he cute? He sure loves his daddy, grandma and ice cream or any other yummy food someone is eating. He says dada and horse as well as making horse sounds and growling. He climbs on and into everything: chairs, couches, drawers... He is a little shy, and has learned about crying to get what he wants(mostly from grandma!) He is standing up and walking with help, he's just to chicken to try it out yet! We sure love him, can you tell?

Princess on Ice Show

On Thursday we went to the Disney Princess on Ice Show. Anna and Megan have been looking forward to it for a month now. Megan kept asking "When are we going to Disneyland to see the princesses skating on the ice?" We had a great time, and it was a good show. There was some smoke and fireworks and Mgan was a little nervous. She really wanted to leave when the Evil Queen was trying to give Snow White the poisined apple, it is so real to them! Anna really liked Princess Aurora, they even had a dress to change colors! I loved the special effects, Aladdin and Jasmine really floated above the stage on a magic carpet, and the castle/palace was always chaning to match the story. It was a good taste of Disney magic for us, I think we'll wait a couple of years before visiting disneyland... just don't tell Megan.

A pumpkin and a reindeer

It snowed yesterday afternoon at our house. Which made for a lot of excitement. Anna and Megan were running around excitedly promising: "Santa claus is coming!". So cute and funny. It seems like they really have a hard time understanding time, days, calendars ect. Anyway they hurridely got dressed to play in the snow. They found clothes to wear all by themselves resulting in mismatched gloves, borrowing mom's snow hat and digging out cowgirl boots. They ran outside for about 5 mins then came in requesting hot chocolate and a bath. (We later found Megan in our bathroom sink enjoying her 'bath') Anna was so excited to show off her "reindeer" cleverly placed right next to the jack o lantern she carved the previous evening.

A typical evening at our house: David is in to everything! He is at a cute age of exploring and learning and starting to make a big mess. The girls and I sometimes try to clean up after him and he is faster at pulling it back out than we are at putting it away. He is starting to hear "No, no" a lot.

Anna and Megan love playing together. It is so wonderful for them to have each other. Lately they say things like "We're best friends forever". So cute! They like to imagine and pretend: making a clubhouse or a hotel, playing school, mommy and baby, scooby doo, and parade. The parade is very loud! but they give out candy and money (Wayne got $100 from Anna, too bad it wasn't real!):)
