Ice Fishing

We had fun Ice Fishing yesterday morning at Brown's Draw. We didn't have any luck there though... not even a bite!
The kids had fun getting out of the house and trying out Daddy's new tent.

Anna brought along her new little Lalaloopsy from Christmas, so she could fish too!

And here was some entertainment on the ice...

After we tried our luck for a few hours, we went home for a nap and Daddy went to Sandwash. He almost gave up there... but then he snaged this pretty 20 incher. He had a fight, but got it in, along with its mate ;)

This was Monday's catch at Starvation. It is so nice for Wayne to have this week off of work. We have enjoyed relaxing at home and getting some projects done too.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! We are having a wonderful Christmas and hope that you all are/do too.
We had to wake our kids up at 7:30 this morning (I know we really are blessed with good sleepers ;)) We had Sacrament Meeting at 9 and Daddy had to be there at 8:30, so we just saw what Santa brought, had breakfast and got ready.
Here is what Christmas mornning looked like at our house:

Love this picture, it is so nice to have Christmas on Sunday! Church was wonderful with lots of Christmas music and spirit. I know Wayne and I are a bit blurry, Anna is still a little wobbly at taking pictures! ;)

Opening Presents:
David couldn't wait! He started tearing in, until we sort of got him to take turns.. ;)

I had fun 'making' these Lalaloopsy outfits to match the girls dolls. They are loving them. I couldn't find some striped pants for Anna so I sewed some, and a little hot glue made some fun yarn hair (though Megan decided hers needed a haircut :))
David has been going wild with his drums! Anna got a paperjamz microphone and has been practicing for "the family concert", Megan also got a paperjamz guitar.
Wayne and I were also spoiled and have been having a nice day! The girls were so cute and wrapped us up a present: A bag of (Davids) cars and candy, and they made me a hair elastic holder out of toliet paper rolls (I've been missing elastics for a while....) and candy. Such sweet girls! :)

Ok I know I overuse ;) and :) but it really has been a happy day!!

Christmas Eve

We had a wonderful time with the Clayburn family at our annual Christmas Eve party. The kids always look forward to playing Bingo, and seeing their cousins, its a fun tradition. We barely fit on the loveseat anymore!

Anna wrote a cute letter to Santa and they all left him milk and cookies. The girls made each of the gingerbread cookies to represent themselves... so cute! Anna was really really hoping that Santa would write a letter back to her, so she left out a pencil and seperate paper just for him. She was so excited the next morning when she found a little note from him! What a nice Santa to take time to write it for her! ;)

The girls' dance group did a nice little production of the Nutcracker, it was so fun. And they got to dance with 2 of their cousins! ;)

Here are our Christmas cupcakes: Anna's Red Velvet, Megan's Gingerbread, and Mommy's Coconut. The girls each got to help make theirs, we had a "cupcake war" like the T.V. show. They had lots of fun, and came up with their decorations. I like Megan's decorations the best! But Mommy's wins for taste hands down!! :)

Breakfast with Santa

This year our ward had Breakfast with Santa. Wayne and I were both in Salt lake so Gma and Gpa Mecham came to the rescue and took the kids. They had a great time!
David kept going up to talk to Santa, but wouldn't sit on his lap.

Christmas Traditions

We have been having lots of fun getting ready for Christmas! Here is our little advent calendar, the kids each take turns putting something up each day.

We have been enjoying our Christmas books. This year we have some fun new ones! David's Christmas, Ready Freddy Crazy Christmas and the Bearenstien Bears The Joy of Giving.

We have been making lots of goodies! This week has been baking week for sure. We made cupcakes on Wednesday, cake pops on Thursday and Sugar cookies and gingerbread cookies today. :) The girls and I have had lots of fun playing 'cupcake wars' and 'cookie wars'.

I love being able to dress the kids up cute for the holidays, I even joined in the fun this year with a cute Christmas shirt of my own! ;)

Happy Bday David!

We had a change of plans for David's bday party. We were going to have a little party with his friends, but we all got sick. David went to the Dr. and he perscribed med for pnemonia, and the girls were pretty sick too. So we celebrated at home with our little family.
We had fun racing Monster trucks, decorating with balloons, opening presents, having bday cake and a pinata.

I couldn't resist these cute BFF shirts for the girls! They really are each others best friends and so lucky!

This little decoration was our addition for Thanksgiving this year. It was inspired from Pinterest, I love that website! I am very thankful that my kids are all better! :) Healthy kids are truly a blessing!
We had a very nice Thanksgiving with our families, did a little shopping, and went to the Holly Days celebration in Vernal. Last night we put up the Christmas tree, A fun weekend!

Fall Blessings

I know its the time of year when everyone is professing their gratitude... but I really am feeling so thankful for my blessings. I am so glad that I can be a wife and mother, really the grandest roles in my life!
We got a new water heater last week and I am so glad that Wayne was able to install it and we absolutely love it. It is night and day difference compared to our old one.
I had a lot of fun playing with my kids in the leaves a couple of weeks ago. I just love pictures in the leaves they make me so happy. ;) We have been very blessed with nice weather too!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun day and night. The girls got to wear their costumes at school and have Halloween parties. I went to help with Megan's it went well and the kids were so good and all dressed up cute. David got to play at a favorite friends house.
When the kids got home they had fun playing then changed into different costumes for trick or treating. Megan's teacher invited the kids in her class to come trick or treat at her house, so we drove into town for a little 'real' trick or treating. This year Anna asked if we could please do it the real way... we've only ever trunk or treated with them. They had so much fun doing a little street in a friends neighborhood, and their cousin's house.
Then we drove to a neighborhood in our ward for some trunk or treating. It was so much fun to see so many from the ward dressed up and celebrating.
We had a little fun bringing some decorations for our car, and of course getting lots of treats!

Anna was so excited to get home and sort all of her candy. She then proceeded to make a list of how many she had of each different candy. Megan sorted hers out too, then they all had a few pieces. Now what to do with the rest? Gonna have to hide it!
