Ice Fishing with Daddy

Yesterday Wayne took the girls Ice Fishing to Brown's Draw. They had a fun time and caught their limit! The ice was about 2 feet thick so they were able to drive the fourweeler out. Wayne has made his own "sled" and bought a hunting blind tent to use, very resourceful huh? The sled holds all the gear and folds out into a floor to insulate from the ice. He built two little seats and cut holes to fish in. It really is quite warm inside and he has a little propane heater if it gets too cold. I guess the girls were barefoot most of the time! Anna slipped in a little hole and got her boot wet, so they took it off to dry out. What a cool Daddy, they are making great memories! Eating Daddy's dried meat(jerky), pretending to sleep, play and of course reel in fish!

Anna loves to cook

Anna has really taken an interest in cooking. We checked out some kid cookbooks from the library and she had to 'tag' all the recipies she wanted to make. I think they were all desserts! Here is a little mouse ice cream sundae she made, of course she has to wear the apron too!

David is walking

David started taking his first "offical steps" YEah! So fun.

Keeping busy in January

Well we are at least halfway through the month. Anna asks me often, "Mom when will it be spring?"... Our winters are too long! But we have been keeping ourselves entertained. The girls get pretty creative. They have been enjoying cooking, playing restaruant, making huts, playing school and messes! The latest one: Megan is a Mummy...

We have had fun putting together a new puzzle. Anna and Megan even put in a few pieces. We plan on glueing it to hang in David's room.

Winter hasn't slowed down the mighty fisherman! Every Sat. he has to catch his limit. This time he went to Brown's draw, and caught a 2 lb. trout! Next weekend we are going to Flaming Gorge for the Bourbot Expo.

And David always keeps us busy. He loves climbing! On chairs, stools, out of his high chair, anything he can attempt. He also loves pulling everything out that he can, and eating everything in sight! He is such a fun boy. We cut his hair, doesn't he look different?

Happy Birthday Megan

Megan is four! She is getting so big and so smart. Some of her favorite things to do are: playing with her big sister, dressing up, playing with dolls, putting on 'makeup' (chapstick and lipgloss but sometimes it ends up all over her face!), coloring, playing games on the computer (she's really quite good!), and watching tv.

For her birthday we made princess crowns. Megan had the most fun putting one on her dad, which he kept tipping off, making David laugh, then the game started all over again! She also went to the dentist on her bithday, she was a really big girl!

We had some princess cupcakes and grandma and grandpa came over while she opened presents. We sang happy bday and Megan tried to blow out her candles. When they didn't blow out she was a little frustrated. "What the heck?" Oh where did she pick that up from?...
