Happy Father's Day

We made Daddy waffles for breakfast, and Anna and Megan made cards and gave Wayne fancy Mtn. Dew bottles. He also got spoiled at church with more treats. Anna made him a coupon book in Primary. It was really cute. Here are some of the things she made coupons for: Helping Daddy build, Cleaning up the house, and Help pick up stuff at the grocery store. We are enjoying some hot summer weather. We drove out to Bridgeland for a family BBQ Sunday night, and it cooled down and was very nice. Anna and Megan had so much fun playing with their cousins. Megan absolutely adores the teeter totter. Anna likes to play and pretend with Dakota and Baylee. And Tyler and Jordan keep us laughing.

Happenings in May

We have had a fun month. Last Saturday we got together for a family BBQ at Grandma Clayburns house. Anna and Megan had so much fun playing with their cousins. Anna and Baylee are only three weeks apart in age, and are really cute together.

On Memorial Day weekend we went to Midway and stayed at Zermatt resort. Wayne's boss gave him a club membership there. It is really nice and gets us a couple of free nights and discounts on the food. Anna and Megan enjoyed the little carosel and the swimming pool.

We got a very nice new 4 wheeler. Its big and powerful and fun to ride. It comes in handy for all the irrigation work. But we also make time to play on it. The girls love it when Daddy takes them for a ride.
Last weekend we went up to the top of Indian canyon and rode around. It was nice, there were still snow drifts and lots of mud to drive through.

April Showers, May Flowers

We are glad to be back home. We had a fun April Fool's Day dinner, jello orange "juice" and meatloaf "cupcakes".
Anna and Megan sure are sweet girls. We are so happy to have them in our lives. They make life playful and fun.
They love playing with their umbrella. When we slow down and appreciate life's little moments like these it makes it so much more worthwhile, we are so blessed.

Our Trip to Kentucky

We had a nice visit with our family in Kentucky. We stayed from March 21 until March 30. Anna and Megan were excited to fly on the airplane. When we were taking off and landing they thought it was a fun "ride". They did really well and even took a couple of naps. When we were decsending in Kentucky their ears started to hurt so out came the suckers! Tony picked us up in Loisiville about 30 mins from LaGrange. The kids were excited to see us all, wound up and not ready for bed. We adjusted to the two hour time difference pretty well. We had a nice short visit with Lonnie and Angel that night and the next morning. Angel was very prepared with a schedule, maps and plans that really helped us out, even though we missed baseball practices, opps! We had a fun little Easter egg hunt, dyed eggs and watched Lazurus Lives with the kids. We tried to dress up nice for Easter, Ethan really wanted to wear his shirt unbuttoned. It was nice to attend the (large)branch, and feel of the spirit there. Tony took us on a drive down to the power plant and we could see some of the flooding of the river.
Some of the highlights of our week: FHE where we acted out Gingerbread Man and made Peanut Butter playdough, watching Eloise movie and Enchanted together, playing at the park and baseball practice, shopping, picking up Stacie and Riley and Eric from the airport, going to the zoo, and playing games and being silly together.
We were glad and sad to come back home. Anna wanted to stay in Kentucky, but she was very happy when she saw "Roosevelt" and her daddy. We were very blessed to have this opportunity, and made memories that we will treasure.

Easter in Kentucky

We are having a fun time visiting our family in Kentucky. The weather here has been cloudy and cool. There has been flooding near here. Today we drove by the Ohio river and there were roads closed, one under water. The kids have had a lot of fun. Anna and Megan really enjoyed the 'airplane ride' and it went mostly well. They are soaking in all these new experiences, and just love playing with their cousins.

Happy Valentintes Day

HI everyone just wanted to wish you all a Happy Valentines Day and do a little update. Mom, and the girls just got back from a trip to Salt Lake. We really enjoyed ourselves, like always. On Sunday we drove out after church and went to Sunset. We had a nice dinner with Shad and Erin and their kids. Anna and Megan had fun playing Hullabaloo with them, then just being silly kids. Then on Monday Erin and I took the kids to Disovery Gateway, a children's musuem at the Gateway. We had a really nice time. The kids enjoyed building, exploring and playing. Megan especially loved the ball play and water. Anna liked playing in a little house, she picked all the flowers out of the flower box and brought them to me. "Happy Valentines Day Mommy" so cute! Brenden really liked the consturction zone, he was good at raising and lowering the crane with the blocks loaded on it. There was also a Sesame Workshop about the body that we went to. Later that night we all went out to dinner at Texas Road House, really good food. Of course we did are shopping and found our treasures and bargins. But one of the best parts of the whole trip was the nice "spring" weather. It was so nice we didn't wear coats and had our lunch sitting outside in the sun! Beautiful.

We hope you all are doing well, love you and hope to see/hear from you soon.

So much snow

We have been blessed this year with a lot of snow. Wayne shoveled some snow off the roof into a big pile to make a sledding hill for Anna and Megan. They have had a lot of fun playing on it. It is also pretty cold here, so we only handle a little while, but its perfect for the girls. I am busy with preschool, dance, scrapbook swap, planning sharing times, making and selling hair bows, dinner swap and keeping things going. Oh and finding time to read great books! I loved Sabetuer by Dean Hughes.

We celebrated Megan's 2nd birthday, and she really does act terrible sometimes. Her new favorite thing is climbing on the computer desk or ontop of the table or counter. But she is a sweetie too. She loves singing Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Hey!

Anna is a big sunbeam now. She is so funny sometimes. She tells me, Mommy I can go in the deep snow because I'm a sunbeam now! She is learning and changing so much. The other day I wrote the whole alphabet and she told me the name or sound of almost every letter! I was amazed, I really didn't think she knew that much.

Wayne is having fun playing basketball, and driving his new truck. It is really a nice truck and we are excited and glad to have one to haul things we need. We have already frequented Lowes a few times.

Last week Wayne's Grandpa Lawrence Keel died. He turned 80 this summer and we had a nice reunion and party for him. We were also able to visit him before Christmas, and we are so glad that we had a few more memories with him. He had a stroke, and died pretty quickly. It was a little suprising because he had just been to the doctor and was given a clean bill of health. But we are so glad for the knowledge of Heavenly Father's plan and know that we will see him agian.

We love you all and think of you often,

The Clayburns
