st. patricks day fun

We found a cute little book about St. Patrick's day. Megan loved it and we probablly read it about 10 -15 times. Anyway I decided to have fun with them on St. P day. We had green shamrock pancakes and green eggs for bkfast. Then we made sure we were wearing green. Even to dance class and a bday party (green ribbon in hair). Then they followed a trail of green hearts to a pot of gold! (wands, flowers for hair and gold wrapped suckers/fruit snacks) Finally we all pinched Daddy (no green) when he got home!
When you are a kid, or even a big kid, St. P day is pretty fun.

dancing

Anna and Megan are taking a little Dance class. They absouletly love it! Anna can't wait for her "pa formence". Megan often says "I'm so lucky to go to Dance class", it is the highlight of her week. Today the class was canceled due to some scheduling at USU. They were sad, but then they asked if they could put on their "leah tarts" and dance. They do a little dance "Caps for Sale". Their teacher is always incorparating children's literature and is so creative. For a 3 and almost 5 year old they are mostly having fun, but its great for them to practice following instructions and get some energy out.

Anna's pictures

Anna loves taking pictures! She'll say "do you want me to take a picture for your blog?" Of course she is most interested in taking a picture of her toys, books, videos, david and just random everyday things. Most of the pictures are definatly deletable (sure love digital!). But looking at these pictures I realize how one day it will all be a memory of raising my kids and then I probablly will miss the simple little things. So I hope that now I can take some time to try and see things through my children's eyes and enjoy it a little more.

my little valentines

Our girls are constantly creating, writing, coloring and scribbling. I have been thinking it would be really nice for them to have their own space to do this. I clean up crayons/pens/papers from my kitchen table, floor, couch and bedrooms every day! Well I looked around at children's table and chair sets, and then the other day I saw a Lifetime folding table much like one I already own at the Early Childhood Library. But this table had adjustable legs so that it could be 'kid' height. After more shopping around I found this one at Sams club for $40. I feel it is a good investment, because we won't outgrow it. I already had a couple of plastic chairs and Anna had fun helping me decorate hearts to hang on them. Also found a fun easel from IKEA, it has a big roll of paper that can roll through it. Anna calls it a 'seesil'.

Of course I can't post a blog without another picture of our sweet little boy. Isn't this little outfit adorable! Who says they don't make cute boy stuff?

look who's smiling!

I know... we are pretty proud parents. David started smiling a few days ago. He smiles a lot in the morning, and when Anna talks to him.

A nice January

We have been very blessed this month with no illness, some warm weather, and fun times with family and friends. David is now 2 months old and is growing and doing so well! His sisters are great at helping take care of him, and are getting adept and giving him his binky. Megan says "I feed him his binky."
Anna is back to preschool, where she has so much fun! She is learning a lot, and we are looking forward to kindergarten in the fall. She has enjoyed playing webkinz with her Dad, they love finding gems, decorating her rooms, gardening and cooking. Yesterday she had some dental work done by a pediatric dentist who traveled out from Salt Lake, she had an IV sedation and they fixed five cavities and capped a tooth. We were pleased that it went well.
Megan is full of imagination and life. She loves dressing up, going to dance, playing with friends and getting attention. She can be stuborn and sometimes I think she is a terrible three! But she is quick with her smiles, hugs and humor and we love her!
Wayne is busy with workplaying basketball both church and city league. He has been doing a biggest looser competition with his coworkers and boss and is doing well. He got a remote control airplane that he has had fun trying to figure out and this weeks new toy at the shop is a gas powered remote control truck, fun!
I started a quilting class with my mom, we will make a sampler quilt. I have also been having fun making bows, cards, scrapbooking and baby booties and blankets. Being creative is a great outlet for me while I am home taking care of my children. I am also working on loosing the baby weight, its so much easier putting it on, than taking it off! Wayne and I made some new financial goals and if we stick to our plan will be debt free in 5 years! What an incentive!
We have just had a busy and good month, and there is still a week left!

Happy Bday Megan!

Today is Megan's 3rd birthday! We are so happy to have her in our family. She is full of energy and life. She loves to laugh and make others laugh. She is a fun little sister and a loving big sister. Megan really likes to dress up lately. Every morning one of the first things she does is find a princess dress and put it on. We have had a great weekend. Wayne tied up his truck bed liner behind the four wheeler and we went 'sledding' in the field. The girls loved it! Megan keeps asking to go again. On Sunday we blessed David. He has been sick with the cold that we all have had. But he is so strong and already improving a lot.
