spring dance recital

The girls were "red birds" in their spring dance recital. They did a wonderful job, and had lots of family come to see them. This year they were in the same dance class it worked out so well. Miss Heather is so good to us! :) She asked me to make the hair flowers with feathers... I'm always up for crafting!
It is fun to dance with their cousins!
Miss Heather had her students do artwork from all seasons to decorate :)
A year in color was the theme, these backdrop trees changed throughout the whole preformance.
I had fun making chocolate kiss rose bouquets to give the girls on their special night!

A special Day

We had a very special day on Saturday May 5. Anna was baptized and confirmed and Ellie was blessed. We had so many of our family members there. It was wonderful.
Anna's cousin Baylee was baptized too. What a fun day for these two sweet girls!

Spring Stuff

Our little Ellie is growing fast! People see her and still tell me "she's so little", but to me she is getting a lot bigger ;) She had her 2 month check up today and weighed in at 10 lbs 5 oz, and was 22 inches long, about 50%tile in both. Anyway this proud mamma had to get lots of pictures before she outgrew all of her cute 0-3 month outfits, so be prepared for picture overload... I know I got a little carried away!
It has been an adjustment to our family learning how to take care of all four. Ellie got a little cold and it made her more irritable last week, we are so glad she's doing better. She is even sleeping through the night sometimes yeah! :) The kids all love her to peices, they want to play with her and hold her and feed her... sometimes they don't understand why she has to sleep so much. All that growing is a lot of work! The spring weather has been so nice, and we all enjoy being outside. It's getting harder and harder to get to bed on time, we are looking forward to summer vacation! The girls have had a lot of fun riding their scooters and bikes. We were so excited to get the bikes out and take of the training wheels to give it another try... just like that they were off and riding ;) It was on my bday so I said it was the best bday present ever!! We had fun looking at the Baby animals at IFA on my bday. They also had a steer with huge horns and a really small bull.
We have also been getting ready for a special day. Anna is getting baptized with her cousin Baylee, and we will also bless Ellie. We are all very excited :)

Easter Blessings

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day. It was our first day back to church with Ellie. It is wonderful to have Gma and Gpa to help with the kids. I still felt a little overwhelmed taking 4 kids to church.. We are all adjusting pretty good though. Ellie is being a good baby. She slept in her car seat the whole time at church.
I am so thankful for these sweet kids that are mine and for the roles I have of wife and mother. I am truly blessed. I am so thankful for the gospel knowledge and testimony that I have too. And the peace, comfort and joy that comes from our loving big brother, Jesus Christ.
My other big brother, Tony had some hard news this Easter. His sweet little girl has a tumor. They did a biopsy and are doing the tests to determine exactly what it is/and what to do. My heart is hurting for them going through this trial, and I wish I could take some of thier heartache and worries away. We are all praying and fasting for them, and have faith that throught the Lord it will all work out. We love you so much Tony, Stacie, Rylee, Eric, Sam and Paige.
Our Sweet girls in their pretty dresses.
David wasn't going to last long..
..and neither was Ellie. I love the imperfection of this perfection :)
The first family picture since Ellie was born.
Our little Easter Bunny. Isn't she sweet? I crocheted the hat and booties.

Happy 8th Bday Anna!

We celebrated Anna's birthday last friday. She is 8 years old, wow, that went by fast, she is sure growing up. We had a "Cupcake" birthday party. I let her invite 5 friends from school and 3 cousins. They had a lot of fun decorating cupcakes and playing party games. Anna said her favorite part was the pinata. We let all the girls have a turn and then let her finish it off at the end. She loved it! We also had a little cookie cake with the Clayburn family on Saturday.
Anna is looking forward to being baptized next month. We are so very glad that she is making this choice. She is such a special girl. We love her creative personality, inquisitive mind and good nature. She always wants to do what's right and is a big help to our family.
It was also Pajama Day at school, so half of the girls at our party were in their PJs. ;)
They all went on a treasure hunt and found these cute little aprons to wear while they decorated the cupcakes with fondant that my good friend Terra made for me. They had lots of fun!

Daddy was in charge of the Pinata (thankfully ;))

Ellie is 1 month!

Wow a month has gone by pretty quickly. Ellie is doing well and growing. At her 2 week checkup she had gained and weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. She was wearing size newborn clothes for the whole month, but just last weekend we started dressing her up in the 0-3 month stuff. We think she is a doll!
This cute little hat and diaper cover was made by Aunt Angel. Isn't she sweet! ;)

I was having too much fun taking some sweet pictures while she was sleeping... she probablly didn't get the best rest but aren't these pictures worth it!?
NO APRIL FOOLIn! Megan lost her first tooth... no really she really really lost it! I noticed a few days earlier that it was getting loose. She was so excited and wanted to get a string and pull it out right then! I convinced her to wiggle it for a while and it would come out soon. She showed all her friends at school, and Anna on the bus. On Sunday morning we were being lazy letting the kids watch t.v. and sleeping in. The girls came into our room and said,... "we need some floss to get Megan's tooth out. April Fools!" Then they showed us the hole in her mouth and her tooth in a little baggie... Later that day no bag to be found. We looked all around the house, and still couldn't find it so Anna helped her write a note for the tooth fairy. She must have found it because the next morning... there was a gold dollar under her pillow! :) Isn't it great to be a kid!

March

We have had a good month. The kids all love their new baby sister... they can't get enough of her, showering her with attention, hugs, kisses, and love. They all want to hold her, carry her (despite me being nervous), even just watch her sleep. So sweet :)

We had some fun for St. Patricks day with green mustaches, cute shirts and a treasure hunt with a rainbow and gold treat.
