David is 1 month
I can't believe its been a month already. David is doing good and growing. He still fits in Newborn size clothes, but he's starting to wear some 0-3 month stuff too. He was back at his birth weight at 2 weeks, then at 3 and 1/2 weeks he was 8 lbs. So he is small but gaining and growing. He is doing well with a bottle and it's nice that we can all take care of him. Anna and Megan shower him with attention and love. He is tracking toys with his eyes. I showed Anna how to 'play' with him she really got a kick out of it! He is such a sweetie and we all love him so much. Our favorite nickname for him is "lil' buddy".

Lately everything is "That's not fair". So I told Anna its not fair that I have wrinkles. She laughed "Wrinkles make you look like an old woman like 100 years old!" "But when you are 100 you die, because thats really old but then you get to be a baby again right Mommy?" I explained that we live with Heavenly Father and we are just the perfect age. She then says "I can't wait till I'm a mommy because then I get to cook all the time and I can be in charge when my husband is at work." What a smart girl!

This morning Anna and Megan were playing. Megan says "You be the Mommy and I'll be the honey." So cute.

Wayne got a fish hook in his thumb today. It was stuck pretty good, we were trying to get it out, and Anna brought in a band aid and some neosporin. We couldn't get it out and Wayne drove in to the clinic. A few minutes later Anna went into her bedroom. She came out head to toe in black, "Mom I put on my black clothes for Daddy." So sweet and funny.
We went sledding at the "big hill" in town. They were both a little scared so Mommy decided to show them how it was done first. Unfortunetly the sled decided to go crooked right over a little jump ouch! The girls went next and were full of "Did you see us Mom?" and "That was so fun!" They are big enough this year to bring the sled back up the hill, but Megan had so much fun getting it to the top then suddenly letting it go. She would laugh and say "Watch it go by itself!" Little stinker.
Anna was so excited for New Years this year. She woke up on New Years Eve and made her list: Get ready for New Years Party, Fancy Decorations, Fancy food, Fancy Drinks, Games. Then she made a banner and helped plan the whole night. Pretty cute!

Megan says "Mommy look there's some pretty sparkly princess snow."

Both of the girls refer to antennes (sorry if the spelling os wrong) as Hannah Montanas. So funny, even after I correct them they still do it. We actually watched the movie this weekend, it was cute. Now megan is dressing up standing on top of chairs and singing, "Hannah Montana"
Yesterday Megan was visiting Grandma and Grandpa. When it was time to go home Grandpa asked if she wanted to take her Capri Sun with her. "No Papa, my bike doesn't have a cup holder."
And lastly David doesn't want to be left out. Wayne is so proud that he says "Da da". But lately he's also started growling like a dragon and vrooming like a car when he is playing. He loves carpool day and yells right along with the 5 other children in the car. Boy its a noisy ride to town!, good thing its only a few miles...

Wayne was putting the girls in bed and asked Megan if he could give her a goodnight kiss. "No, Daddy" "Why not?" "Because you're a very foolish boy." Where did that come from? Have to Laugh.
Lately Megan asks to go to Disneyland every single day. It's not enough to promise we will go someday, she says "No I want to go right now!"
10/01/09
Since Anna has started school these are some phrases she has picked up: "That is so dang cute!". "They are very intellegent children"
Megan likes making clubhouses she says: "No baby brothers allowed"
09/19/09
Megan says "I talk like a boy." "Why?" "Because I like to be a boy."
Anna says "mommy do you get to pick the boy you want to marry?" "Yes" "Well I pick David."
7/26/09
Anna says "Mom I learned how to be brave. I don't cry if I get hurt. Except if I'm bleeding then I can't be brave."
7/1/09
The girls were waking up and I asked if they had heard the rainstorm during the night. Anna said, "No, my ears were all curled up."
I stole this great idea from my friend Debra, Thanks!
6/13/09
Anna explains, "Be careful because the grass has grass stain in it." "Mom why does grass have grass stain in it?" Always trying to figure things out later the same day she asks, "Why do drinks have names?"
I trimmed my bangs this morning and Megan says "Mommy you have Daphne hair." Our little Scooby Doo fan, told me that about 5 times today. I'll take it Daphne's hot, right?
