Building plans

If you follow me on Pinterest, you know that I have been pinning LOTS of floor plans... We have decided that we want to build a new home! Pretty exciting and a bit daunting too. After looking at hundreds of plans.. (they all start to look the same after a while), we finally found this one that we really like!
We want to change the front a bit. It won't jog out or have the double dormer, but I was inspired by this picture:
So we want to try to do that.
The main level floor plan. Pretty much perfect, just trying to fit in a pantry space, and elimanate the front door off the master bedroom, as well as the cute little nook (to cut down on costs). We will probablly replace it with french doors. And elimanate the french doors off the dinning room.
The upper level is again just about perfect, we will frame in the rec room to make another bedroom though, and leave the bonus spaces unfinished for now. Well thats it, our Dream Home! Now just chipping away at all the little things that we need to do to prepare to build. Yesterday Wayne and Dad started clearing some russian olives to carve out our site. It was pretty exciting to see something happening! A lot of work ahead, but so excited and looking forward to the end result! :)

Anna's Insect Collection

Anna was assigned to create an insect collection for school. We had lots of fun finding insects all over our yard and feild. We even found a praying mantis!  (though it was missing a leg). Anna came up with this idea for dispalying them, it turned out really nice.  She is enjoying 3rd grade and is busy with homework, Activity days, Dance and new this year: Piano. She really likes her piano teacher and wants to go 2x a week instead of just once!

I found this cute back to school subway art printable on pinterest and came up with my own little back to school decoration, featuring our cute kids back to school pictures inside the bus and school house. It has been fun and helped us be excited about school! :)

Megan is enjoying 1st grade. Her teacher does lots of cool stuff with them: a mighty "Oh yea!" when they do something good, and a mighty Grr! when they do something bad. She is constantly reapeating their rules "Be smart, Be safe", and telling us about draining your brain, ect. She is also busy with homework, dance and new for her: Gymnastics! Yeah! she is on a roll, literaly. Praciticing front flips, kart wheels, hand stands and more.

David starts Preschool

David started preschool this month. He loves it! The first day we went together and learned all about what he would be doing. He was such a jabberbox and little social butterfly. He is definetly not shy! He made this little rocket that hangs in his class. Sorry the picture is blurry, I dropped my camera in some sand and its not working so I've had to use an older one lately.

His 'new' spiderman backpack :)

He really loves school, and wants to go everyday not just twice a week. After the first day he went by himself he was telling me all about the fun things he did and playtime outside. I asked him if it was fun and he said, "It was fun, fun, fun!" What a cute boy! He's growing up too fast.

4 Kids

Sometimes I forget that I really have 4 kids... crazy I know how could I forget. When I get them all together like this it really sinks in. Anna wanted to take a fun picture of them all together, then we had fun taking some more. I need to take more pictures of them all they are growing so fast!! It's so hard to get them all to cooperate and look at the camera so they aren't perfect, but they are fun anyway!

The girls have been so much help with Ellie this summer... I'm gonna miss them being around to help out I know! They are so sweet with her. It was the last day of our summer vacation yesterday and they helped me clean the house. They are getting to be really good helpers! :) We turned on some music to help us work and they got dancing around. Anna loved to "dance" with Ellie. I need to record it, its so cute!
Ellie is almost 6 months old, and she loves her sisters!!

David is such a little character. He loves playing with his sisters too, and he's sure gonna miss them while they are at school!

A busy Summer

We have had a busy summer so far! It has been lots of fun though. The last two weeks we did a session of swimming lessons. Anna and Megan passed off Level 2, and they both were brave enough to go off the diving board! YEAH!! David enjoyed his preschool class, and he also passed. This year he learned to swim in our pool without his lifejacket. He gets around pretty good, swimming underwater, and loves jumping off the ladder!

We also had a lot of fun with our cousins from Florida this last week. We visited the Dinosaur Museum and Splash park in vernal. Lots of fun!

Lagoon 2012

We had a fun time with our friends the Birds at Lagoon. We camped in the campground for 3 nights and had fun for 2 days at Lagoon. It was hot but we had lots of fun. Fortunetly we had a little window a/c we rigged up for the camp trailer. Our neice Tauzya came with us and she was a great help! The kids had so much fun and are already talking about doing it again next year. The first day we went to Lagoon a beach. The girls had lots of fun going down the waterslides with us. David was too short, but he sure wanted to go!

It was great to have our friends to enjoy it with, it definately made it a lot more fun! Each of the kids had a friend just about their same age. (except for Ellie our youngest and Jarom their oldest) The kid rides were a favorite for David!

All of the kids loved Rattlesnake Rapids and because it wasn't too crowded they went a few times! Daddy had fun playing the squirt gun game with them and we won this giant blue snake :)

Ellie did so well. She slept most of the time in her stroller, but she stretched out on the bench and was so happy! She didn't get to go on any rides... maybe next year!

David was funny... the first ride we went on was the carosel and he freaked out!! After that he was always pretty nervous on the rides, but got more comfortable and started to like most of them. His favorites were the cars, rockets, airplanes and Rattlesnake rapids.

Megan is our brave one. She LOVED the roller coasters: Bombora and the Bat, she went on both several times, but could have gone on them again and again. She did get scared on the Spider and was mad at us for taking her on it. Next year she promises she will try Wicked. It is my new favorite ride!, I got to go a couple of times and I loved it!

Anna just doesn't like heights very much. She tried Bombora, but got really scared and decided to stick closer to the ground. Her favorite rides are: Jumping Dragon, Tilt a Whirl, Rattlesnake Rapids and the Waterslides at Lagoon a beach.
