visit to red butte garden

This weekend we took a little trip to Salt lake city. We visited Red Butte Garden it was beautiful and a fun adventure for the kids. They have a little children's garden it features a splash park, and little child size tunnels and huts made of vines and plants, pretty cool! Here are some pictures:

Busy Saturday

We had a busy day yesterday. It was a good day though. In the morning I was cleaning up outside and found this praying mantis. The kids thought that was really cool. They caught it in a "container" and took it to show Gma and Gpa.
Gma and Gpa helped them make a nice box and caught grasshoppers for it. They have enjoyed watching it and making "grass" nests for it.

Wayne was busy adding on a beam to our playset for this little "pumper" swing. The girls have been begging for one. THey absolutely love it! I think it is so awesome that I played on it when I was little AND even my MOM played on it when she was little 50+ years old, and still super fun AWESOME!

I got busy crafting and made 4 pillowcase dresses and a skirt for the girls. They were easy and fun!

Happy Old Memories

I think its so great to have some really old neat stuff still around. I took the kids to play at the playground at the school this week. It still has some of the old equipment that I played on when I was in elementary. Fun.

I am so blessed. I have a wonderful husband, great kids and the best neighbors anyone could ask for. We had a really good week, I taught preschool on Tuesday and Thursday. I have some awesome friends who are doing it with me this time, I'm really excited. It was fun to be in "teacher" mode again. I am so glad I got introduced to Co-op preschool. We went to the rec center on Monday and had a lot of fun with the girls. We promised Megan that we would take her when she got her cast off. I also had some fun doing some more crafting, that always puts me in a good mood. Its just hard to deal with some of the aftermath that occurs from the inattention to my kids and house. Last weekend we had 2 boxes of cereal spilled in a bedroom.... I was too mad to take a picture.

David

Constantly on the go! David is growing up and is so much fun. He loves playing outside in the rocks, dirt, and on the playground. He is figuring out how to slide, has conquered climbing Everything!, and really likes riding on his bouncy horses. I want to get more pictures of the cute things he does, but he's too fast!
Peek a boo!

He loves running on this little bridge at the playground. He says "Ready, set Go!" so cute!

Climbing the fence to look at the horses. He has also been known to figure out how to get in with the horses, little stinker! He loves horses and cows, dogs and cats.

David is so loveable, he loves when Anna comes home from school, and is always ready to run to give her a hug and a kiss. She loves the attention and also loves to play with him. He is also figuring out how to wear hats, and is always finding one and putting it on. What a cute age! Can't he stay this way for a few more years?

Megan

David is also a little couch potato! He loves watching TV we have trained him well... When we went camping a few weeks ago he was so upset when he woke up from his nap, I could not calm him down. I finally realized he wanted to watch TV. Silly boy! Wayne snapped this photo of him glued to the tube, scrunched up in his favorite place between the bean bag and the TV cabinent.

Megan is really fun lately, she loves getting her picture taken... I know I can hardly believe it! She loves to go shopping with Mommy at "Wralmart". Anna and her have been earning toys and prizes for doing jobs, so shes figured out I'll buy things if she says "For the prize store".

It's so great to have her back to just about normal with both arms. She is doing really well and almost has full motion back. The Dr. thought she'd be able to do it all on her own, and she really has. Little kids are amazing! Sometimes we forget that it was even ever broken.

We started preschool this week. She is enjoying that, we had a fun week learning about apples and alligators, and playing with friends. She has missed Anna a little a couple of times after breakfast or lunch she'll say "I'm going outside to wait for the bus to bring Anna home."

Picking Peaches

We had a fun time picking peaches in Neola at the little orchard. Grandma Mecham took us up. The people that run it are so nice, we tasted lots of yummy peaches, filled our box and had a fun adventure. David really liked the dog.

We had to do some searching to find our favorites, but they are sure yummy!

The girls wanted to pick their own, so we had to find some that were low enough for them too. A lot of peaches had been blown onto the ground, it was a windy afternoon.
