Camping at Moon Lake

We had a nice weekend camping at Moon Lake with our friends the Snows. We went last year and had so much fun we had to go again. The lake was so low! They have drained it in anticipation of all the water from the snow melt this year.
I don't ever remember it being that low. Wayne fished a little and caught a couple of fish, but there were several people fishing and catching. It was a little chilly but really just right for camping. One of the best things: almost the entire campground to ourselves.

We took the little hike around the lake (as far as we could make it anyway)

The little river wasn't so little. It was so big compared to last year. Megan held her hands over her ears because it was roaring so loud. They were all a little nervous, but I wanted a picture on the bridge to compare to last year.

We also had fun painting egg cartons for 'nature collections'. I should have taken a picture of all the treasures we found!: flowers, pinecones, rocks, a little blue hatched egg, 'mud balls', sand, old corn cob. ect...
